Styles of Yoga

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a wonderful for people with physical limitations to experience the relaxation and increases flexibility. Many health benefits are seen with regular yoga practice even if you cannot get onto the floor. Suitable for those who have difficulty getting up and down off the floor.

Restorative Yoga

Using props and blankets to modify traditional yoga poses, these postures are held for extended times, gently opening the body to deep relaxation and healing. The use of Tibetan bowls and the Gong are use to help deepen the student into a more relaxed state of deep relaxation.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.

iRest ~ Yoga Nidra

A guided meditation class done primarily while resting on the back to clear the mind and create a relaxed and energized experience in the body. Suitable for everyone. Tibetan bowls and Gong are incorporated in my classes to help deepen the experience.
